Biography
Filip Cornelis is Director for DG MOVE Directorate E is Director for Aviation, DG MOVE Directorate E, at the European Commission, a role he has held since October 2017. He joined the European Commission in 1994 and has held several senior positions, including in accession negotiations and treaty drafting for new EU Member States. Since 2006, he has focused on transport policy, serving in the Office of the Director-General for Energy and Transport before becoming Head of Unit for Aviation Security, Aviation Safety and Aviation Policy.

Kata holds a Master’s degree in Economics from the University of Cambridge and a Diploma in Responsible Tourism from Leeds Beckett University.
