Pieter van der Horst is an expert in Airport City development and in generating non-aviation revenues. He is Managing Director at Airport City Academy, an airport real estate consulting and educational firm, and Project Director at Schiphol Area Development Company, where he also leads the Real Estate Task Force of ACI EUROPE. In the past, Pieter worked at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. Pieter completed an MSc in Business and Urban Economics, a postdoc in Financial Management, and an MSc in Real Estate (cum laude).

Gonzalo Velasco has more than 20 years of experience in the airport development business. He has worked at several airports, including Heathrow, and has held leadership positions at Ferrovial Airports in business planning, M&A, portfolio management, innovation and sustainability. Gonzalo has also been a board member at several airports and has been part of the ACI World Economics Committee, the ACI World Non-Aeronautical Revenues & Activities Committee and the ACI EUROPE Environmental Strategy Committee. He holds a Master’s degree in Aeronautical Engineering and an MBA

Aletta von Massenbach holds degrees in law and general management. She was appointed CFO of Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER) in September 2020 and became CEO in October 2021. Prior to that, she spent 24 years at Fraport, where she led international investments and oversaw a portfolio of 30 airports across ten countries.

Thomas joined Heathrow in October 2023 and has since led a focused drive on innovation in passenger service, sustainability and growth at the UK’s hub airport. He is also overseeing a multi-billion-pound investment plan to upgrade existing facilities and provide an even better service for passengers. Thomas is a member of the ACI EUROPE Board, the CBI President’s Council, the BritishAmerican Business Advisory Board, the Jet Zero Taskforce and the TOURISE Advisory Board.
